Time is flying by, and I can’t believe April is almost half over! When did that happen?

Mom, dad, and John-Hector are here! Woo-hoo! I’m excited to be a part of their first big travel experience. Eric, mi amor, arrives April 18, and will be staying until May 10. We’re going to go to Dublin, Rome, and Valencia, so be on the look out for updates about those experiences.

On Saturday, September 22, 2007, at 7:30 p.m., poet and former U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser will read and sign books at the Rialto Theater in Loveland. He will present a talk that afternoon at the Loveland Museum & Gallery that will be free and open to the public (with reservations required). (Contact the Loveland Museum & Gallery to make reservations for the afternoon talk.)

In other news, on Saturday, July 14, there is a benefit for the Larimer County Hospice that includes a poetry reading and desserts. Among the readers will be some of my favorite poets: Lisa Zimmerman, John Calderazzo, Evan Oakley, Veronica Patterson, Beth Lechleitner, and Jack Martin.

Stuart Creason hopes to get a sneak preview of his basketball future next month, when he travels to Germany to play for an Athletes in Action team.

“I really don’t know what to expect, and I think that’s part of what will be awesome about it,” Creason said Wednesday. “I’ll be in an entirely new place, playing with entirely new people and for entirely new coaches.”

COLORADO SPRINGS - Dan Hawkins would gladly welcome the scheduling of Air Force with a caveat - the Falcons have to scrap their option offense.
